Shira Oz-Sinai

Shira Oz-Sinai

For over ten years, Shira has taught literature, English, Spanish, and Hebrew to kindergarteners, high-schoolers, and adults in schools like Berlitz and the University of Maryland. Her palpable passion for communication and commitment to the art of teaching have guided Shira to what she describes as “the most valuable language of all”—awareness. Shira has studied with local Yoga Nidra teachers as well as the founder of iRest® Yoga Nidra, Dr. Richard Miller, who trained her in techniques for delivering group and individual sessions. Through the process of meditative self-inquiry, Shira gently assists her clients in welcoming their body/mind experiences and rediscovering their intrinsic path to healing and growth. Shira works regularly with at-risk youth in DC on managing symptoms of stress, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.  For more information view our video. She also delivers workshops to health professionals, educators, and others interested in reducing tension and increasing their sense of well-being.
